Coding with Sphero is wicked fun and a powerful way to learn about algorithms. We'll be using the Sphero EDU app for all of these activities, get it on your app store of choice.

When you first launch the Sphero EDU app, you will be presented with the option to Sign Up or Sign In. At St. George MSU,, we use Google's G Suite and we'll use that to Sign In. Click on Sign In to get started.

Click on the Sign in with Google button to use your school Google account to login. Logging in allows you to save your programs and access them from different devices.

You'll be presented with a window to Sign in with Google and will need to enter your school email address and then click Next.

Enter your Google password and click the Next button.

You have successfully logged in and now need to let Sphero know your role. Students should click on Learner and that is what we'll show below.

Sphero has strong privacy protections for students and wants to verify your age. Students under age 13 will need to have their accounts authorized by a teacher or parent. Enter your real birthday at the prompt and then click Submit.

If you are under 13, then you will need to enter your first name and your parent/guardian's email address. St. George School students can enter paul@stgeorgemsu.org so that I can authenticate your account.

Your parent/guardian/teacher now needs to authorize your account before you can login and start saving programs to your account. Once you have confirmation from them that that has happened, you can return to Sign in with Google, parts 1 - 4.

Now that you have logged in with your school Google account it is time to create your first program. Click on Programs in the top right corner and then +Create to start. See the Interface page to see what happens next.
